1.Basic premise

At the Food Safety Commission of Japan (hereinafter referred to as "FSCJ"), we are collecting information from authors and reviewers for Food Safety, the Official Journal of FSCJ (hereinafter referred to as "the Journal") in areas necessary to the smooth operation of the editorial process and the delivery of information about the Journal. Information acquired will be handled appropriately within the scope of the purposes of use.

2.Scope of information acquisition

(1) We collect names, affiliations, email addresses, and other necessary items of all authors and reviewers for the purpose of editorial process.

(2) Information acquired in 2. (1) will be used for any of the editorial purposes (communication with authors and reviewers, notification of publications, and call for papers submission etc.).

3.Limitations on use and provision

At the FSCJ, except in cases of legal disclosure requests, cases of illegal access, threats and other unlawful acts or other special reasons, the information acquired will not be used by ourselves for any purposes other than those described in 2. (2), nor will it be provided to any third party. However, statistical information regarding access to the website may be made public.

4.Measures to ensure security

The FSCJ is taking the measures necessary to manage acquired information appropriately to prevent the leakage, loss or destruction of acquired information.

5.Disclosure of Information on Self

We shall not collect information other than information given at the manuscript submitting. If you demand the disclosure, amendment, or deletion of information about self, please contact us via 8. For Further Information or Inquiries.

6.Scope of application

This privacy policy applies only to the information collected through the editorial process.

FSCJ may revise this privacy policy. Should it be revised, we shall notify you through the website.
